Shipping policy

All animals must be paid for in full before delivery. In addition, animals must generally be paid for in full to hold them for delivery until appropriate, safe shipping weather is available (unless an alternative arrangement is agreed to in writing).

Note: we will confirm the buyer’s shipping address and any special (and feasible) shipping instructions when the initial purchase is made and before the animal is shipped. It is the buyer’s responsibility to provide clear, complete, accurate shipping information, including any special instructions, and to confirm/correct the shipping address if given the opportunity to prior to shipment.

Shipping is done through FedEx Priority Overnight/Reptile2you (or similar).

Geckos.com advises calling in advance to confirm if your local FedEx hub processes live animals. 

Carriers generally deliver packages by 10:30am. Please be advised that this can vary and shipments may be delivered later than 10:30am depending on how far the package must travel from the FedEx hub. If you live in an area that requires an extended delivery time, please notify us before ahead of time.

Note that most hubs provide the option to “hold for customer” where the package will be held until the receiver comes to the location to retrieve it. This is a highly recommended alternative.  We are NOT responsible for shipping carrier delays or other carrier issues and any negative consequences that may be caused by such.

Shipping is available in the continental forty-eight (48) United States to authorized FedEx Shipping Centers.

Please contact us if you are located outside of the continental forty-eight (48) US states for permission before agreeing to purchase any geckos.

Shipping Charges

Geckos.com currently offers complimentary free shipping if animal is purchased on our website. We charge an $70 flat fee for shipping on Morph Market and MM auctions. 

If it’s not calculated at check out and you have any questions, please contact us immediately.

If not, you may be billed for shipping after check out.

Shipping Hold

We can usually hold animals until daytime and overnight shipping temperatures are within forty (40°F) to eighty-five (85°F) degrees Fahrenheit.

Continental US Transactions

Geckos.com ships domestic only to authorized FedEx Shipping Centers.

We only ship live animals within the Continental forty-eight (48) United States when the weather is appropriate, generally between forty (40°F) and eighty-five (85°F) degrees Fahrenheit.

International (i.e., non-US transaction) Transactions

Please contact us directly to discuss options for shipping internationally.  We handle these requests on a case-by-case basis.

There are no health guarantees, shipping guarantees, refunds, or similar guarantees of any kind provided to International Customers (i.e., customers residing outside the United States and/or when the gecko’s final destination is outside of the United States).  In addition, all is and/or exportation related arrangements must be made by the buyer and the buyer is entirely responsible for them.  We will do our best to ship out on the specified day by the buyer to a domestic (US) location only, however, reserve the right to delay shipping if the weather is unsafe i.e., departure, destination, and hub locations not between forty-five (45°F) degrees and eighty five (85°F) degrees Fahrenheit.  This paragraph supersedes any other language found on this website regarding international transactions.

In person pick-up

In person pick-up in New Jersey, or local shows that we attend is strongly encouraged and may get you priority in the purchase of a gecko for which there are multiple buyers.  Please contact us to discuss further.

If we make arrangements for in-person pick-up and the buyer “no shows”, as defined as not showing up at the agreed upon meeting place within one hour (60 minutes) of the expected meeting time and without reasonable notice, buyer may forfeit up to 100% of the payment made for the gecko and delivery and the animal will be relisted for sale.  If a buyer encounters unforeseen circumstances related to an animal pick-up, please notify us immediately via email, text message, or phone call (and voicemail message if call is not answered).
